Policies and Procedures

Rates and policies are subject to change based on high impact periods and special requests.



Crenshaw Guest House Policies
All rates at the Crenshaw Guest House include breakfast.
Students of our guests are always welcome to join their families for breakfast at no additional charge.

eservations can be placed anytime online or by phone between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm. 
A deposit of 50% of your total balance is required to confirm a Special Reservation or a Whole House Booking.  See Special Reservations section for details. 
For regular rese
rvations, balance is due on arrival.

Check-In

  • Check-In is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.  

  • Please text 205-475-8181 prior to arrival with your full name so that we are available to assist with check-in.  If arriving outside of check-in times, self-check in may be arranged.  Please call or text to make arrangements.

  • Early Arrivals are subject to room availability. There will be an Early Arrival Fee of $25 for check-in prior to 3:00pm.
  •  Late Arrivals must be pre arranged as well and could result in a $25 fee.
Check-Out
  • Check out is by 11:00am.
  • Late check-outs will be charged $25 per hour after 11:00am unless arrangements have been made in advance to accommodate staffing. Check-outs after 1:00pm will be responsible for the entire day. 
No smoking
  • There is a strict no smoking policy inside the Crenshaw Guest House guest rooms and common areas. There are designated smoking areas outside. If you choose to disregard our policy, there will be a cleaning fee added to your account.

Animals
  • The suites outside the main house are pet friendly. Please see our Animal Policy for more information.
Damages
  • Guests are responsible for all damages and will be charged accordingly with the credit card on file for the reservation. 
Lost items
  • We hold lost items for 30 days and will return upon request. Guests are responsible for all shipping fees. We reserve the right to dispose or donate unclaimed items after 30 days.
Special Reservations 
  • Group Reservations, Whole House Reservations, and University-Related Special Events such as Graduation and Football Weekends are considered Special Reservations and subject to a two night minimum.
  • Discounts are available for group and whole house reservations.  Please call or email for more information.

  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the reservation is due at the time of booking all Special Reservations with the full balance due 90 days before the reservation.

  • Discounts and/or promotions do not apply to special reservations. 
Cancellations
  • All cancellations and changes to reservations will be charged $25 per night/per room.  If you do not arrive for a reservation or if you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be responsible for the first night of your reservation.
  • In the event that a Special Reservation must be cancelled, we will try our best to re-book your room. If we can re-book your room(s), a refund less a $50.00 cancellation/change fee per room will be issued. If we are unable to re-book your room(s), you will remain responsible for the entire reservation.
